The Parthian Electromagnetic Sensor (PES) platform, developed by the founders at Caltech, rapidly diagnoses batteries by converting their electromagnetic signature into 2D contour maps, and using proprietary pattern-matching algorithms to detect defects and damage within the battery. This technology can be applied to manufacturing environments to reduce up to 14 days of aging time, saving several dollars per kWh, and within battery packs to avoid runaway thermal events and other safety issues.
