Terrajoule has proven a modular thermal 2 MW solar+storage power station concept that overcomes the key barriers to solar as the largest night and day power source: 1) Storage cost at 1/10th batteries yielding Levelized Cost of DISPATCHABLE Electricity less than NGCC, less than half gas peaker or PV+battery; 2) Novel integration of mature hardware elements for massive scalability via existing supply chains without the capital, delay and risk of “gigafactories”.
