Volunteers have been the backbone of Cleantech Open since our founding in 2005. Our volunteers receive exclusive opportunities for access and involvement, visibility as leaders in the regional and local cleantech ecosystems, and tremendous gratification from supporting our entrepreneurs.
We operate in a hybrid structure where a small team at the national level does much of the heavy-lifting and provides the core materials and processes for our accelerator. We rely on volunteers around the country to help us get the message out into the regions.
For 2022, we’d like to focus on the largest metro regions that are evolving into cleantech hubs, and we’re looking for volunteers who want to become Cleantech Open Metro Ambassadors in those regions. Could this be you?
As a Metro Ambassador, you would - Represent Cleantech Open in your local cleantech ecosystem (within 1-2 hour drive)
- Promote Cleantech Open and its program in the local community - through events and direct outreach (we will provide you with all the material needed)
- Be the contact person for your metro area for people interested in becoming involved with Cleantech Open
The time requirement is approximately five hours per month, with a significant effort from February to May, our recruiting season. In early 2022, we will contact people who indicate interest below. For questions, please reach out to khayes@cleantechopen.org. |
