Los Angeles, October 1, 2022. Following intense weeks of preparation culminating in regional semi-finals and finals pitch competitions, Cleantech Open today announced the 18 Regional Winners and Runners Up. These startups have been invited to compete and pitch at the National Semi-Finals and Finals to win the U.S. Grand Prize of $50,000.

This year, the national competition will be held in-person on October 25th and 26th at Cleantech Open’s annual flagship event, the Global Forum, co-located at VERGE22 in San Jose, CA. Open to the public will be the National Finals on Wednesday, October 26th and the CTO Awards Ceremony Luncheon on Thursday, October 27th. Secure your ticket here.

Ken Hayes, Executive Director, Cleantech Open, said: “Kudos to all 77 companies that competed across the country and congratulations to the Regional Winners! We’d also like to thank the more than 100 judges who reviewed and scored both the companies’ written submissions as well as their live pitches.”

In 2022, 91 companies participated in the 12-week accelerator program and submitted eight ‘Essential Business Deliverables’ that were reviewed by the judges. The graduating startups then pitched live, either online or in-person, to the judges during the regional pitch competitions.

“We’d also like to thank our sponsors and our volunteers, especially our generalist and specialist mentors, for their time and efforts in guiding the companies through this year’s accelerator program and providing valuable feedback,” added Hayes.

The following 18 companies have been invited to compete at the Global Forum as CTO National Semifinalists:
